1.  When and how can I submit my idea ?

You should register at Kolba Lab’s website and after you get account activation link on the e-mail address you mentioned, you can post your idea.  Submission deadline is extended until September 30.

Tip from Kolba Lab: examine the competition announcement attentively, dig into useful materials available on the website before applying for the challenge.

2.  How can I edit my idea after I have already submitted it on the website?

The “edit” button is not yet active on the website. Please send your us an e-mail [EDIT IDEA] in the subject line, indicating your account, e-mail address and necessary edits for your idea at Idea[at]kolba.am in the body of the mail.

3.  Is there any alternative way for idea submission if I don’t want to publish my idea on the website?

You can send your idea at Idea[at]kolba.am  indicating [IDEA SUBMISSION] in the subject line. Only Kolba Lab team can access this e-mail address.

Tip from Kolba Lab: public discussion of your idea on the website might inspire you for better idea and/or crystallize your idea.

4.  Who can apply? 

Everyone. We are accepting truly innovative ideas from individuals, commercial and social organizations, initiative groups and anyone who got interested in innovating municipal services in Armenia. No limits.

5.  How many ideas can one submit ?

Unlimited number of innovative ideas! Applicants are free to submit as many ideas as the muse inspires.

6.  Who will be evaluating ideas?

An international and local panel of judges will be invited to evaluate submitted ideas. You can read more about selection criteria on our website.

Please remember that this is competition for IDEAS, not applicants.

7.  How can I clarify some more questions before applying?

You can always message us at our Facebook page, write at Idea [at] kolba.am and call us  +37460 530000 224; +374 55 151678 (during working hours preferably). We will be happy to answer your questions.

8.  When will I know that my idea is among the winning ones?

List of winning ideas will be published on our website during 18 days after the submission deadline.

However, if your ideas is not on the list, Kolba Lab may guide you to other relevant competitions or organizations that can be useful for further development of your idea .

9.  What kind of support can I expect if my idea wins?

Kolba Lab will provide start-up financial support up to 10 best ideas. Though large share of the available support is mostly non-financial. Kolba Lab supports with wide network of professionals and experts, fundraising resources and expertise, as well as creates opportunities for the winning ideas to become viable projects to be implemented together with UNDP and Government.

10.  What will be my role after my idea is developed into a project?

Applicants, whose ideas are on the winning list receive start –up support. With the support of Kolba Lab authors of the winning ideas are invited to participate in the idea incubation process, where the team is formed and the idea is developed into a project or strategy.

Considering specificity of each application received and relevant possible further development, Kolba Lab and the applicant together decide what kind of involvement is efficient for each case (the idea may become a civic initiative, start up project, UNDP or local government bodies’ project) .
