The last week of May was active for young innovators from Armenia, who participated in the Generation Without Borders competition, which aimed to inspire young people to come up with ideas and innovative solutions to their existing problems. The competition in Armenia is organized by UNICEF, UNDP, AYB Foundation and UWC Armenia.

In 2020, the Generation Unlimited Youth Challenge took place in 41 countries around the world, bringing together young people from all over the world in one network of innovators. This year, the competition for ideas took place in Armenia as well, but due to the restrictions created by the epidemic, the competition was held in a new, online format.

14-24 aged, active and creative Armenian young people participated in the 10-day GenU2020 online exercises under the mentorship of skilled specialists in social entrepreneurship and startups, offering innovative solutions to the challenges they face.

As a result, 5 out of 12 participating groups were recognized as winners and received $ 1,000 in funding and the opportunity to bring into life their own ideas under the mentorship of specialists.

The winners- Word Speech, Pottery Village, InterACTive, VR LAB, and Aquaplant, addressed the challenges of community, social and educational issues.
