As part of UN International Youth Day celebration on August 12, 2019 an Opportunities’ Fair under the global theme “Transforming Education” took place in Vanadzor. This was a joint event organized by UNDP Kolba Lab, UNFPA, Career Lab, NGOC, European Union, World Vision Armenia, Enterprise Incubator Foundation and Vanadzor Technology Center.

The Opportunities’ Fair was an open platform for all those who were looking for up-to-date information on current job vacancies, who were interested in educational opportunities both in Armenia and abroad. Local NGOs and initiatives presented their youth projects and shared possible ways of cooperation. Local, national and international organizations and institutions that had any opportunities for the youth of Lori also participated in this event.

Along with the fair different master classes and public speeches were conducted on such topics as key competencies in labor market, how to properly present yourself to an employer and what is important when presenting in social networks, etc.
There was also a CV-booth, specifically designed to help the youth with making their resumes more appealing and professional. The existing resumes of the participants could be edited and/or made from scratch.

The fair was organized in the framework of “Future Skills and Jobs for Armenia’s Rural youth” project, which is financed by the Russian Federation and is implemented in partnership with the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure.
